Translitera Press is an independent academic publisher working in literature, linguistics and translation studies. We host peer-reviewed journals, set the standards they follow, and are building a books programme alongside them.

Scholarly judgement first
Acceptance rests on the quality of the argument and the evidence, never on the standing of the author or the ability to pay.
Transparency
Our review policies, timelines, fees and corrections procedures are published and applied consistently.
Linguistic hospitality
We would rather work harder on a submission written in a second language than lose the scholarship behind it.
Editorial independence
Editors make editorial decisions. The press does not overrule them for commercial or institutional reasons.
How the press works
We host journals
Each journal we host has its own editorial board and platform, and follows the press-wide ethics and access policies.
We support editors
We handle the publishing infrastructure, indexing applications, DOI registration and archiving so editors can concentrate on scholarship.
We publish books
Monographs, edited volumes and conference proceedings in our disciplines, on the same open terms as our journals.
